With a powerful Hard Rock/Metal sound, Quarantine is an energetic band consisting of 4 young, talented musicians. The idea of forming this band started when Singer/Bassist Nicholas Chhun and drummer Mike "Mayhem" Mahan started working on a project for a music class for school. Realizing the mutual outstanding musicianship, they drifted from the school-related project and began playing some music ...more to both of their likings... Metal. Mike Mayhem had previously been in a band with the soon-to-be guitar player, Von Allaman. Familiar with the talent of Von Allaman, he was asked to join the band. Von and Mike had wanted to start a metal band in their previous band so they had another musician in mind that would complete the Quarantine line-up. Michael Varona had then joined the band as a secondary guitarist. Just able to get together a band before a school talent show in early Feb. of 2011, Quarantine's first gig was a done deal. After rocking the talent show, everyone in this project came to the conclusion that this band had a strong variety of talent, potential and outstanding musicianship. Spending the next few months recording as frequently as possible, the band's goal was to put out a 5-song demo CD, which will be released in mid-August.
