Maddy is the new teen singing phenom from Jersey City, NJ. Like all great song divas, she began her career in the womb. She's a raw vocal talent endowed with natural showmanship and a winning personality as well. Winning beauty pageants and talent shows were routine for Maddy by age ten. Ever a lead voice in church and school choirs, her vocal range is mind-boggling, scaling exclusive diatonic notes often reserved for the greats. In 2007 she was inadvertently discovered by a school teacher (who, unbeknownst to her at the time, was also an indie label executive) when he, upon hearing from a fellow teacher that Maddy was something special, casually asked her one day to pipe a few notes and she sang an entire song--before the entire class. Naturally, Deyland Anderson invited Maddy (and her parents, both musically inclined) to New York City for a private audition. Maddy crooned one song, "Maddy's Home," her own expression of the 60's classic Daddy's Home and wooed her audience (all veterans of the bizz, including Joseph J. Henry, CEO 3THW Music Publishing) to numbness. A cyber generation child handling 60's vintage was beyond amazing! Maddy signed with Alberta Records the following week and hit the studio no sooner than her contract ink dried. With a stuffed backpack of sure-fire hits such as Cell Phone, a New Edition feel 80s throwback with a Hip-hop spin; Basketball, a cool b-baller's ode written by the artist; Now And Then, an inspiring composition originally scored for Micheal Jackson; Your Eyes, a trendy puppy-love tune, and the breezy-fresh, foot-stomper Peppermint Picnic, all from Like Maddy, her anticipated debut album; this pint-sized schoolgirl is poised to get straight A's and reap mega-ton benefits in the recording industry.
