Kamala Harris receives support on social media from pop music world  The Mercury News

A big portion of the music community reacted quite favorably on social media to the news that the Bay Area’s own Kamala Harris has been selected as the Democratic Party’s vice-president candidate.

John Legend, Pink, Pharrell Williams, Ciara and Sheryl Crow were among the many high-profile musicians who chimed in on Twitter in support of Joe Biden’s announcement that Harris would be his running mate.

“Very happy for our friend and Senator and future Vice-President, @KamalaHarris, and very much looking forward to voting for the Biden-Harris ticket to begin the difficult work of recovering from this nightmare presidency and building an even better future,” tweeted John Legend.

“You both have my vote,” Pink tweeted.

“Let’s do this,” Sara Bareilles tweeted.

“History made. @KamalaHarris,” tweeted Pharrell Williams.

“CONGRATULATIONS @KamalaHarris! #GIRLPOWER!” Ciara tweeted.
