Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music association announces Concert Line-up into early September

The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association has released a concert line-up for their Rock The Patio and Live on Lake Street outdoor shows.

Executive Director Clay Norris says this Friday’s concert will be held at Preservation Plaza.  “Working things out with the Park, we’ve been able to move it over Preservation Plaza this Friday, which is really gonna be awesome, I think.  Denny and the DC Drifters are gonna be in town and they’re putting together a rock and roll show that kind of moves through the different eras of rock.  So, being down there next to the lake ought to be a great evening this Friday.”

He notes that the new line-up will include some familiar names.  “We’ve got Tim Horsman coming on August 20th to the patio.  We’ve got Galaxy coming on August 21st, lots of people love Galaxy.  We’ve got a group called La Raza, they are a trio from Milford, younger singers, they’re fantastic.  On August the 28th, on Lake Street, we have The Union County Trio that are Hall of Famers from both Iowa and South Dakota, one of them is one of our Board Members, and then, on the 3rd, The fabulous Terry Klein.”

He adds that the Association hopes to put together a Labor Day Weekend festival.

(The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame Spectacular normally held on Labor Day Weekend has been postponed to Memorial Day Weekend in 2021.)
