Country music singer-songwriter and Michigan native releases new music – WXYZ

(WXYZ) — The wait is over!

Country music singer-songwriter and Michigan native Julianne Ankley’s latest musical effort is now available. It’s called “With Love from Lake Huron.”

Recorded in Nashville, the record is Ankley’s first as producer. While there is a fluidity to the mood from one track to the next, Ankley’s thumbprint is one of a classic country flavor. Her tunes often have a bluesy sway, but they feel more timeless than retro. The first half of the album is upbeat and energetic. The second half is mellow.
